Want the management summary?
- Drift in values cause difference in sound. Vintage parts have much higher drift than modern ones. So that is a debunked myth.
- Although vintage components are more noisy, the distortion is almost inaudible at the low voltages they run at in pedals.
- Ceramic capacitors have a shorter lifespan and are more susceptible to micro-phonics. But that is true for both modern as well as vintage ones.
